Yesterday was the annual District Choral Festival. Backtrack worked with students in each grade level individually then as a combined group to record a song. Students also learned beat boxing techniques and how to incorporate them nto musical pieces. District Choral day is made possible by a grant from the Cahtham Education Foundation Ryan T. Ganley Memorial Fund (Metviner Family).

Students at SBS completed 2,701 challenges and read a total of 54,020 minutes for "I Love to Read Week". As an extra element of fun, one student got to "Pie the Principal" at the completion of the challenge.

Dr. Hrdina's 6th and 7th Grade students at Chatham Middle School took part in a "Souper Bowl" food drive. The students donated over 1,300 non perishable items which were donated to local food pantries. #SDOCgivesback

LAF celebrated Valentines day by holding a food drive. Students donated 1,300 pounds of food to Market Street Mission, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Table of Hope. Thanks to ShopRite for donating bags to facilitate distribution.

Holocaust survivor, Maud Dahme, presented at CHS today and to CMS 6th graders yesterday to share her story of gratitude, perseverance and determination. Maude Dahme opened the school year speaking to faculty and staff members. She will present to the parent community on March 7.
