Reminder that Dogs are not permitted on school grounds or fields. Sports are in session and our maintenance crews are actively getting the grounds ready to open school. Please do not walk dogs on school property or bring animals when picking up or dropping off kids.

Reminder Delayed Opening Tomorrow for Professional Development
Art teachers and students are hard at work setting up for the District Art Show tonight! Artwork from all grades will be on display from 6:30-8:30 PM tonight 5/23 and tomorrow 5/24 at Chtham Middle School in the upper gym. There will also be interactive art activities. #SDOCarts

Josh Funk visited for Author's day last week. Thanks to the PTO! Josh taught students the art of storytelling by demonstrating how to take ideas and turn them into dynamic characters and plot themes. Students also became illustrators by drawing and naming their own characters.
Mark your calendars for the District Art Show on May 22 & 23 from 6:30-8:30 PM! This event showcases over 800 student pieces in all grades and across mediums. There will be interactive art activities both nights. The Chatham Orchestra will also perform. Free and open to the public. #SDOCarts
Our 3rd graders performed magnificently today at the Spring Concert! They were finally able to perform two live performances for audiences this year. We love their enthusiasm for signing and their dedication to chimes. We look forward to following their musical journeys as they move on to Lafayette next year.

CMS 8th Graders and MAS 3rd graders celebrated Earth Day last Friday learning about pond life. Students participated in a food web activity to learn about the pond ecosystem, a scavenger hunt, and a relay race to remove trash from the "fish pond". #SDOCscience
