Our Senior Internship Program offers seniors an opportunity to conclude their Chatham High School educational experience by participating in a four-week-long internship experience. Its purpose is to empower students to take ownership of their education by applying their high school knowledge and skills in an area of personal interest. Participants will expand their learning by interning with a business mentor in place of attending traditional classes.
Internship
During this time you will be a full-time intern and will not be reporting to school, nor will you be required to complete any schoolwork.
May 19, 2025 to June 11, 2025 (Memorial Day is off).
Spans over a total of 16 weekdays.
Minimum of 20 hours a week for a total of 80 hours by the end of the program.
In-person worksites only (internships can not be virtual or remote).
Must be located in Chatham, Madison, New Providence or Summit.

As you begin to reach out and interview with potential internship sites, please make sure to review the SIP website and familiarize yourself with the program and all requirements. You are responsible for securing your own internship and can do so by networking or utilizing the
Important Dates;
January 8th @ 7:00 pm: SIP Family Virtual Information Session. This will be a webinar-style presentation hosted by Ms. Gallagher outlining the details of the SIP program. A link will be shared as the date approaches.
January 9th during lunch @ CHS: SIP Student Information Session: A follow-up to the previous night’s presentation, tailored specifically for students. This will take place during both halves of lunch in Room A114.
January 13th @ 8:00 pm: The SIP application goes live.
February 10th: SIP Application due date.
