The French 4 Contemporary Topics class visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the art unit. Manet's famous painting Déjeuner sur l'herbe was featured in a special exhibit, which made the timing of this trip extraordinary. Seeing these works of art up close allowed students to appreciate the details of the painting and encouraged them to engage with each of the pieces in a way they may not with a reproduction.
