
Reminder tonight is the SDOC District Jazz concert featuring performances by our 5th-12th grade jazz bands and the CHS dance club. Performances begin at 7 p.m. in the CHS auditorium.

Chatham High School's Theatre Studio class performs Museum tonight, May 9th and Friday, May 10th at 7:30 P.M. Free Admission and open to the public.


CHS welcomed 8th Graders and their parents yesterday for orientation. Students received building tours by Links leaders to facilitate a smooth transition next year. The panel provided current 9th grade student and parent perspectives. If parents were unable to attend the orientation the presentation can be found at https://5il.co/2kd7q.

We are excited for our second annual SDOC districtwide Jazz Night! Please join us on Wednesday, May 15th, Chatham High School Auditorium at 7:00 PM. Performances by the LAF, CMS and CHS Jazz Bands. Free and open to the public.


Mark your calendars the District Art Show is May 20 and 21st from 6:30-8:30 P.M. We are excited to announce special hours for Senior Citizens. Seniors are invited on May 21 from 10 AM - 12 PM. Student artists will act as docents during the Senior viewing hours.





School calendar has been updated to reflect unused snow days. School will be closed Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24. MAS, SBS & WAS will have an early dismissal on May for kindergarten screenings.


On Saturday, April 27th, the Chatham High School Key Club hosted its seventh Outreach Meal Packing event, at which students prepared 15,000 ready-to-heat meals. We are proud of the students who volunteered for this event.



Chatham High School senior Christina Stuart was awarded the P.E.O. Chapter AC Student Award. She is being recognized due to her excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success

Theatre Studio and Stagecraft classes at Chatham High School went to see The Notebook on Broadway. CHS class of 2017 graduate and Theatre Alumni, Kimberly Scaglione, came to speak with both groups about her experience as a Production Assistant on the show. We love reconnecting with alumni and hearing how they are applying what they have learned in their careers.




The honors recital held earlier this week highlights the breadth of musical talent at Chatham High School. Chorus, band and orchestra students select challenging pieces that showcase their talent and encourage them to master new techniques. We applaud the dedication and commitment it takes to perform these complex solo pieces.

We are excited that 23 pieces of Chatham High School student artwork will be displayed at the Blackwell Student Art Show from Wednesday April 17- May 1 in the Atrium Gallery at 10 Court Street, Administration Building in Morristown. The community is invited to celebrate these talented students at a reception on April 17 from 6-8 p.m. The original reception date was changed due to the earthquake last week.





Congratulations to the Chatham High School Robotics team, the //Cougars on winning second place overall and the Innovate award at the FIRST Tech Challenge NJ State Championship!



Chatham High School senior Patrick Ryan was awarded the New Jersey School Boards Association Morris County Unsung Heroes Award on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the County College of Morris in Randolph. Chatham High School Assistant Principal Connor Henderson presented Patrick with this award.



In honor of Music in our Schools Month, we are recognizing the accomplishments of students across the district who represented Chatham in honors music ensembles outside of school this year. These ensembles are extremely competitive and we are proud of their talent, dedication and hard work .


New WRLD Quartet performed at QuartetFest 2024. Students were selected to participate in a Masterclass with Nina Lee, who taught students how to evoke complex emotions with their instruments. The masterclass afforded students the opportunity to enhance their musical expression and redefine their ensemble phrasing.





Mark your calendars for the next Parent Wellness Series event on April 24th at 7 p.m., at Millburn High School Auditorium. Audra Tonera, Executive Director of Counseling and Wellness at Drew University, will present, "Beyond Books: Helping Students Navigate College Expectations vs. Realities". This program is open to parents and high school seniors.
